In the mountain town of Vila Flôr, in the Northeastern corner of Portugal, visitors can enjoy a special program from now until February 2010 to see the traditional making of olive oil. The program starts at the Quinta do Barracão in Vilariça with a lunch in the  “Fumeiro da Brasa” followed by cheese making and olive paste making demonstrations. There is the opportunity to take part in the olive harvest, using traditional and ancient methods to get the olives from their trees. All this for just 10 euros per person.
